About Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB)
The Sashastra Seema Bal aims to secure the borders of India from militant attacks and various insurgencies around the borders of the country. Started in 1963, the Sashastra Seema Bal is the paramilitary force of India that reaches even the remotest of areas in the country, where other Indian Armed Forces can have trouble reaching in. Being said that, every year the Sashastra Seema Bal conducts the exam to recruit qualified individuals for several posts in their force.

In the case of SC, and ST candidates, the upper age limit has a relaxation of 5 years and the OBC candidates have a relaxation of 3 years. These are the three eligibility criteria that you are required to fulfill to appear for the Sashastra Seema Bal exam.
