The Special Naval Architecture Entry Scheme is another way to join the Indian Navy without appearing for the written test. The Indian Government recently announced the induction of Naval Architect Officers into the Indian Navy on a Short Commission basis. The recruiting officers visit various colleges where B. Tech, Architecture courses are offered to shortlist candidates for interviews. Once the eligible candidates clear the interviews, they are required to undergo a medical and fitness test. If found fit, these candidates are then selected on their merit and provided training before joining the force through Indian Navy Recruitment.
