Other Ways to Join Indian Navy

1. 10 + 2 Cadet Entry Scheme

If you do not want to write a written test for joining the Indian Navy, you can opt for the Cadet Entry Scheme. Under this scheme, candidates are initially selected through the Services Selection Board and are then sent to the Indian Naval Academy for completing their B. Tech. course. After the successful completion of the course, the candidate is granted Permanent Commission in the Executive, Engineering, and Electrical branches of the Indian Navy recruitment.

2. University Entry Scheme

Under the University Entry Scheme, seventh and eighth-semester engineering students are eligible to join the Indian Navy recruitment process under the Executive and Technical Branches of the Indian Navy. Recruiting officers from the Indian Navy visits different AICTE approved colleges for shortlisting the candidates, who are then called for a Short Service Commission interview. After the interview, all of the eligible candidates have to clear a medical and fitness test. 3. Recruitment through NCC
