The 137 Composite Ecological Task Force Battalion (Territorial Army), 39 Gorkha Rifles, has announced a recruitment rally for 37 vacancies in 2025. The posts are open for Ex-Servicemen (Pension Holders) and Ex-Women Employees (including premature retirees) of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) and State Forest Departments. The recruitment rally will be conducted from 23rd to 27th September 2025 at Major Dhyan Chand Stadium, New Cantt, Prayagraj (UP). Eligible candidates must report at 7:00 AM on 23rd September 2025 with all required documents for physical screening and interviews.

Pay and allowances as per Territorial Army rules, equivalent to Regular Army pay scales for respective ranks.
Age Limit
JCOs: Service up to 55 years.
Other Ranks (ORs): Service up to 50 years.
Enrollment within 5 years from retirement.
Physical Standards
Height: 160 cm (152 cm for Gorkhas, Garhwalis, Assamese); 150 cm for Ex-women.
Weight: Male – 50 kg; Female – 42 kg.
Chest: Male – 82 cm (5 cm expansion); Female – 5 cm expansion.
Relaxation of 5 cm in height for women from NE and hilly areas.

8’/9’ ditch crossing.
Zig-zag balance beam.
Proficiency Test
For tradesmen – trade-specific test.
For Ex-Women employees – test on afforestation and nursery management.
