SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 25,487 Constable & Rifleman Posts

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued the official notification for recruitment of Constable (General Duty) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), SSF, Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles, and Sepoy in Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for the year 2026. A total of 25,487 vacancies have been announced, making it one of the largest defence recruitment drives for 10th pass candidates. The online application process has started from 1st December 2025, and the last date to apply is 31st December 2025. Candidates selected under this recruitment will be appointed in forces like BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB, Assam Rifles, SSF and NCB. The pay scale for the posts will be as per Level-3 (₹ 21,700 – 69,100), and candidates must have passed Matriculation or 10th class as on or before 01.01.2026.

Eligibility Criteria

Education

Candidates must have passed Matriculation / 10th Class from a recognized board as on or before 01.01.2026. Those appearing in 10th in 2026 are not eligible.

Age Limit

Minimum age is 18 years and maximum age is 23 years as on 01.01.2026 (Born between 02.01.2003 and 01.01.2008).
Relaxations:

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• Ex-Servicemen: 3 years after deduction of service period

Salary

Pay Level-3: ₹ 21,700 – 69,100 per month plus allowances as per central government norms.

8. Take printout for reference
